A net-zero-ready new-build residence, certified LEED Silver, the house sits on an acre of land within a sustainable development. Adam, as the LEED AP Homes on the project, collaborated with the design/build team on every aspect.

The home faces south, with overhangs & sunshades designed to allow passive solar heating in winter, but keep the sun out in summer. Material and fixture selections were made to both conserve resources and maintain healthy indoor air quality. With super insulation and triple glazed windows the house will consume about half the energy of a new, code-compliant structure. Comfort and low electric bills are the norm since occupancy.
